When a repair costs nearly as much as a new motor
An old motor with a failed control board and a worn gearbox can come close to the price of a new one. For comparison, the motor alone sells in shops for Centurion D3 SMART+ about R4 400 (Takealot); D5-Evo SMART+ about R6 000 (Takealot); ET Drive 500 about R5 000 (Takealot), and fitting a sliding gate motor typically costs R1 500–R3 000 (Kandua) on top. How a repair is priced
We don't publish a price list for repairs, because the same symptom can be a lock-out switched on by accident, which costs nothing to undo, or a control card that has to be replaced. The technician finds the fault first and tells you the price before any work starts, and you decide. Your exact price is set in a free quote before any work starts. No call-out fee when we do the work. If no work is done, a R650 call-out fee applies.
For comparison, typical call-out fees in the market are R500–R950 (Kandua's 2026 cost guides). Many companies drop theirs when you go ahead with the work, as we do.

A gate that drags or a door with a broken spring has to be put right before a motor can run it safely, and that work is priced on its own. Prices checked October 2026.

Are the prices on your price pages what you charge?
Our installed kit prices are ours, and they're marked as ours. Every other figure is labelled as a typical market price, from published South African cost guides, installer price lists and shops, with the source named. Your own repair price is set on site, before any work starts. See the figures at a glance.
Why isn't there a price list for repairs?
Because the price depends on the fault, and that's only known once a technician has looked: the same beeping motor can need nothing more than a lock-out switched off, or a whole new control card. See how a repair is priced.
