How it works
How Repairs Plus works, from your first message to the finished job
Every job runs the same way, whether it's a gate motor that has stopped, a garage door that won't close or a new electric fence: you tell us what's wrong, we confirm a visit, the technician finds the fault and prices it, and nothing is done until you say yes.
Six-month guarantee on our repairs
1-year guarantee on every motor kit we supply and install

The five steps
From the job card to the finished job, this is the whole route a job takes. Each step is explained below.
1We WhatsApp or call you back
To confirm the visit and a time that suits you.
2Technician visit
No call-out fee when we do the work. If no work is done, a R650 call-out fee applies.
3Quote
Your exact price is set in a free quote before any work starts.
4Repair
All our spare parts are genuine.
5Guarantee
Six-month guarantee on our repairs.
1. Tell us what's wrong
There are three ways in, and all of them reach the same office:
- The job card on every page: choose the product and your area, add the address, the property type, what's wrong and a day that suits you, and up to four photos. Switch on "It's urgent" if it can't wait.
- WhatsApp: best when you want to send a video of the gate or a run of photos.
- A phone call: quickest when the property is open or someone is stuck.
When you send the job card, a booking reference (RP and five digits) comes to the email address you gave. Quote it in any message about the job.

2. We confirm the visit
We WhatsApp or call you back to confirm the visit and agree a time. If you chose a complex or estate on the job card, this is when we sort out access: the name to give at the gatehouse, the unit number and anything security needs from us. For a business, tell us the trading hours and who will meet the technician.
Switching on "It's urgent" flags the job for us. 24/7 emergency repairs across Gauteng, and emergency repairs explains how to make a gate or garage door safe while you wait.
3. The technician finds the fault
The fault isn't always where it shows. A gate that drags or a door with a tired spring wears out a good motor, and a weak battery can look like a dead one, so expect questions about the gate or door as well as the motor. You're welcome to watch and ask.

4. You get the price first
Before any work starts, the technician tells you what's wrong, what it needs and what it costs. Your exact price is set in a free quote before any work starts. No call-out fee when we do the work. If no work is done, a R650 call-out fee applies. You decide whether we go ahead, and nothing is done until you do.
For new installations the starting point is published: our motor kit prices are on gate motor prices and garage door motor prices, and all our prices lists every price page we keep.
5. The repair or installation
All our spare parts are genuine, matched to your make and model. Before the technician leaves, ask to see the gate or door run a full cycle, and to be shown anything that changed, such as a newly coded remote or a different auto-close time.
After the job
What you're covered for depends on the job:
- Repairs: six-month guarantee on our repairs.
- New gate and garage motors: 1-year guarantee on every motor kit we supply and install.
- New electric fences: 2-year warranty and a compliance certificate on every new electric fence we install.
If something we worked on gives trouble again, WhatsApp or call us with your booking reference.

Questions
Questions about how it works
What happens to electric gates when the power goes out?
Most gate motors keep working, because they run from a battery that the mains keeps charged. A healthy battery lasts many openings, but a long outage or an old battery can leave the motor dead, and then the gate is opened with its manual release. See what to do in a power cut.
Where do I find my booking reference?
It's in the confirmation email we send when you submit the job card: RP followed by five digits. It isn't shown on the website or in WhatsApp messages, so keep the email. Go to the job card.
Can you come to a complex or an estate?
Yes. Choose complex or estate as the property type on the job card, and when we confirm the visit we'll arrange gatehouse access with you, so the technician isn't held up at the boom. Read how we confirm visits.
What if I decide not to go ahead with the repair?
That's your choice, and nothing is done without your yes. No call-out fee when we do the work. If no work is done, a R650 call-out fee applies. See how pricing works.
